The original 1950s design by architect Viana de Lima results in a modern and striking house, inspired by references to Brazilian architecture — especially the sculptural butterfly wing-shaped roof.
The large glazed areas that highlight the entrances and the open internal plan create a spacious, bright space designed for communal living. On the ground floor, the living spaces extend along the south-facing facade, ensuring comfort and continuity between interior and exterior.
On the first floor, the bedrooms are arranged in a U-shape, creating a visual relationship with the living room through a mezzanine above the main space. Each bedroom also benefits from private terraces or balconies, with small green areas that reinforce the connection with the outdoors.

The proposed architectural solutions preserve the essence of the original design, while allowing for the creation of another bedroom and the adaptation of some spaces to contemporary needs.
